Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist during procedures.
We typically have assisted hygiene all days of the week to support a RDH and allow you to care for patients.
Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Expose dental x-rays (when required)
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and charting, periodontal charting
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations
- Document patient information accurately in Open Dental
- Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records
Experience:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Proficiency in using dental software
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
