Job descriptionWe are looking for a friendly, well organized person with good communication skills who enjoys working with people to join our team in our Laser Assisted Periodontal office located in Skokie for 3-4 days a week. ( Tuesday ,Wednesdays, Fridays and 1/2 day on Thursdays)
Office Hours:
Monday 8:30am-5pm
Tuesday 8:00am - 5pm
Wednesday 8:00-5pm
Thursday 8:00-3pm
Friday 8:00am-5pm
Duties include:We are a Periodontal Laser Assisted Office seeking an individual with a minimum of 1 years Dental assisting experience with the knowledge of Implant and periodontal surgery and Front Office Skills.
- Basic computer skills are needed; Dentrix Dental Software experience is a Plus.- Knowledge of Digital X-rays ( Dexis preferred)-Ability to assist surgeon chair side with a variety of Periodontal, Implant and Oral surgery and Laser Assisted procedures.-Responsible for sterilizing and bagging instruments, setting up operatories and breaking them down at the end of the procedure. Knowledge of setting up procedure trays and maintaining a clean and sterile environment at all times.- Updating patients medical history and recording of vitals. Must have good communication skills.
Provide weekly maintenance on all dental equipment.
Assist with inventory and keeping log of all supplies.
Review Oral hygiene and Post op instructions with all patients.
Responsible for following up with patients after surgery, Requesting X-rays from referring offices. Some computer data entry, help with Insurance verification, answering phones and scheduling patients. Scanning and printing of documents and keeping up with recall visits of existing patients.
Compensation is negotiable based on experience
