Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Temporary Dental Hygienist to join our team from Aug, 2024 through Nov, 2024 to cover during maternity leave. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. Duties:- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing- Take and develop dental x-rays- Conduct thorough oral examinations and assess patients' oral health- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care- Administer local anesthesia as needed- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Qualifications:- Valid Dental Hygiene license in CT- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
