Pediatric Dentistry of Monsey in Monsey, NY is looking to hire a full-time Dental Hygienist.

Dental Hygienist Qualifications
÷ Associates in Dental Hygiene
÷ State Dental Hygienist license
÷ Pediatric experience strongly preferred
÷ Ability to complete documentation promptly and accurately
÷ Ability to use sound judgement; possess a calm disposition and the ability to work easily with others

Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:
÷ Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping patient
÷ Completes dental prophylaxis by removing calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teeth
÷ Applies preventative material to teeth: sealants, fluoride
÷ Assesses oral health conditions, provides oral cancer screenings and head/neck inspections
÷ Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions, providing reminders by time of next dental hygiene visit. Counsel patients about good nutrition and its impacts on oral health.
÷ Make impressions of patientsââ¬â¢ teeth for case studies
÷ May be required to take X-rays on patients as needed
÷ Documents dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical/dental histories; charting in patient records
÷ Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
÷ Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
÷ Maintains professional and technical knowledge on a regular basis
÷ Assist with front office work as needed or requested
÷ Complies with all company policies and procedures
Dental Hygienist Benefits:

Dental Hygienist Work Schedule:
This full-time healthcare administrative customer service position typically works during our dentists' and orthodontists' regular hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, but hours vary.
