Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. You will work closely with the dentist to ensure optimal oral health for our patients.
Responsibilities:- Perform dental cleanings and oral hygiene treatments for patients- Conduct thorough dental assessments and screenings- Take and develop dental x-rays- Administer local anesthesia as needed- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care- Assist the dentist during procedures, including fillings and extractions- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Experience:To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:- Valid Dental Hygienist license in [state]- Proficient in medical coding, medical imaging, medical terminology, and vital signs- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for dental imaging- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices- Experience working with electronic health record systems, such as Epic- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus- Strong patient assessment skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
